Our Volunteers

At Chicago Urban Art Retreat Center (CUARC), we have a team of volunteers that help us run programs. Unlike most nonprofit organizations, we cannot do it without volunteers since we are an all-volunteer organization! For this reason, we would like to highlight our team.

Cesar Quiroz

Cesar leads the effort to maintain the Peace Park on Spaulding Ave and to create the new Peace Park on Trumbull. He works with the building and grounds maintenance of the CUARC building and heads the Animal Welfare program. He also supports other projects.

Brianna Beckham

Brianna is the co-coordinator for the Communities Art Walk in September where she will be assisting the Director with the event. For the event, she will be contacting galleries and art centers in the area to let them know about the event and ask for their participation. She will also be reaching out to medical staff to help educate us and the community on best safe practices with Covid for the event to run smoothly.

Grace Bohlson

Grace is focused on recruiting miracle workers to form committees for each aspect of the planned community center. This will involve head-hunting, posting blurbs online, and networking in the neighborhood to locate candidates. She will be reaching out to local universities and colleges to find out about forming partnerships, especially to secure volunteers.

Krystal Levitske

Krystal is assisting with researching grant applications and funding in general.

Troy Dantzler

Troy assists with grant writing.
