The Urban Art Retreat | and Sisters’ Place

Sisters’ Place has had many names over the years.
In short, it is a place for women who would like to stay in a woman-centered place to feel comfortable on a short term or long term stay. All kinds of women have stayed over the years. Women from many countries around the world have stayed. Women of all colors, religions, sexual orientations, income levels, and more have stayed at Sisters’ Place.

The women’s residence is fully furnished with furniture, window treatments, bedding, linens for bedrooms & bath, kitchen, dishware, soaps etc., t.v., computer, internet, WIFI, and even a deck off the kitchen. There is a laundry on site. The kitchen theme is Frieda Kahlo and the bathroom theme is pink flamingos.

The place has three bedrooms, one small and two medium size. The rooms are called- Even Cowgirls Get the Blues Rm., Bette Midler’s Rm., & Florence Comfy Rm.  There is also a 4th bedroom on the first floor in case we get full!  Each room is painted with deep colors and there is lots of art hanging up. There is a small library in the living room and plenty of seating to hang out.

Women are asked to pay URBAN ART RETREAT for their room in advance and to inform staff when they will be arriving. Women are given keys so they can come and go as they please. The daily rate is $35.00 for one woman and $45.00 for 2 women per room. The monthly rate is $450.00 . The monthly rate for 2 women to share a room is $550.00. Women who stay more than one month are asked to pay a security deposit. The deposit is returned if they pay their rent, give at least 30 days notice to leave, and leave the place in good shape.
