How To Submit (general)

Review the General Directions for Submitting Artwork

  1. Please send digital images of your original art to Make sure your art is signed!

  2. Indicate which art show.  We will carefully review & consider your artwork.

  3. Once accepted, we will contact you via email. Read these guidelines & follow carefully.

  4. Prepare your pieces to be formally presented in the gallery. Label with (your name and the title of the piece only) on the back of each art piece you send in. Do not write anything else on the back of your art!

  5. Install display-ready wire on the back of each piece that you want included in the show. If a hook is used on back of artwork, it must be claw type & only one in center. Curator prefers a single wire on back.

  6. Deliver your art pieces to the Liz Long Gallery at CUARC by appt. or send via mail/UPS/FedEx. Artist is responsible for all transportation costs to and from art gallery. Please send to arrive in the time period the gallery asks for them. (ask curator for dates)

  7. Email an artist statement about you and your art, and a narrative about the art you are sending to be included in the art show. 

  8. Include two copies of a signed inventory sheet you create that includes all of your contact info. at the top & a list of all the pieces you send including the title, size, description, media, & price or NFS.         You create the inventory sheets yourself and send with your art to gallery.

    Expect that artists receive 70% of all sales with 30% going to CUARC.

  9. If you live locally, you are urged to attend your art reception and any associated discussions possible. Whether you live nearby or faraway- all artists will invite their support network (family members, friends, co-workers, and clients) to attend the opening reception and associated discussions they are interested in. Artists are asked to help publicize the art show online, on their facebook page, twitter, etc. The gallery audience consist of clients and friends of the artists.

  10. Artists may pick up their art on the last day of the show at 4 p.m. or by appt. within 4 days of the end of show or pay a daily fee beginning on 5th day. Artists who live far away must contact UPS or FEDEX themselves, and ask carrier to pick up their art on agreed upon date. (gallery must agree to date) Gallery will re-package the artwork.
